Got no idea what others think but it's a very real place compared to other sites. People can be awful and no one steps in to say "you can't say that". I am sure this site has the most uses of the word "cunt" anywhere on the internet.
I would say it's like an old city pub that hasn't been gentrified. You might take the missus to eat elsewhere, but always fancy a weeknight watching the footy in this place. No gastro food, the carpet is sticky and language foul. The air is a mix of alcohol and farts. You don't even like most of the regulars but are resigned to the fact that we only have each other.

Sounds a bit like the Bakers arms in Stratford.
Use to go their on Sunday, they use to bring out free grub and closed the curtains for after hours. This was back in the day when pubs closed Sunday afternoon. Wasn’t a bad spot for a game of darts and an all day session.
Then we’d go to Allilees in Ilford for a Sunday night sesh!
Still miss the boxing at Kings in Seven kings though. Use to have a laugh there!

It reminds me of me of my local boozer going back to the mid 80s and nothing changed much over 20 years, All ages got on well. The blokes a bit older than me and my mates their council houses were all Torys called me a communist all banter every night and on a Saturday and Sunday daytime. I can recall a couple of rows in there, There was and old boy called Tom who drunk Stingo (Barley wine) he used to take his shirt off and offer everyone out after a couple. He was in the pool team and at away games we used to let play first and then call him a taxi back to our boozer.

It's true.
I used to C&P some of the funnier comments from the Covid thread and email them to a few colleagues and some medics I know for their amusement. One who had looked at the site directly said to me with genuine puzzlement, ‘why exactly do you participate in this?’
I have to say, I really couldn’t come up with an answer.

Turned to shit after the 2006-2007.
Has always been aggressive but with a sense of humour which has niw gone. I think posters were more open with funny anicdotes but probably people are more of that now due to the wankers on here.
Lets take H&P and the karate instrutor. A fun story and probably due a bit oif stick and banter at the time but ffs it's like over 10 years and still wanker posters bring it up.
